The Character Chase 5K successfully debuted in July 2010. This event, designed to bring additional prominence to the quest for character excellence, also serves to highlight the importance of physical activity and personal fitness as an appropriate complement to overall wellness. Promoting the character traits of Determination and Endurance, the race attracted nearly 400 participants, in age groups ranging from under 10 to over 85! The beautiful tree-lined course ran through the Village of Hamburg ending just in time for the opening of Hamburg’s Burger Fest, where racers were treated to live music, food and prizes.
